Hi Kimberly Houston,

Thank you for sharing your story. You are so right about passion and dreaming big. For advice to others you said to not let someone's dream become yours. I say, " Do not let someone else's dream become your nightmere, and do not let someone else's nightmere become your dream."

Okay, back to passion, I say that passion should be the motivator. By the way, I am a motivational speaker, so I tell my clients to consider " Whatever you do in life, do it because you enjoy it, because if you enjoy it, you will at least strive to be good at it and if you are good at it, all the rewards will come with it...that is, whatever the reward is, if they include money, fortune, fame etc."

Again, thank you for sharing.

It's very unfortunate that a staple venue of the community would be closing its doors. I feel the city should vow together & come up with some form of an action plan to keep this legendary venue open for the community, because with summer rapidly approaching the youth need a positive safe haven to relax & have fun.

Greetings,

I am one of the artists exhibiting in this show.

Tonight we have also have the
GALLERY SYMPOSIUM -
Thursday, February 19th from 6 to 8pm.
New Perspectives: African American Identities in Art, Poetry, Film & Fiction. I will be reading some of my poetry at this event.

The assembled groups of artists provide a broad range of work including abstracts, portraits, homages, and the autobiographical in acrylic and oil. The work is as varied as the interests and styles expressed by this intergenerational group of local African American painters.

The participating artists include the seasoned artist veterans Paul Goodnight and Barbara Ward, as well as the soon-to-graduate art school new comers Destiny Palmer and Cullen Washington. Radiant Jasmin’s multi canvas assemblages, Pam Reynolds’ suffuse abstracts, Darrell Anne Gane-McCalla’s urban hip-hop scene imagery, and Ralph Beach’s large-scale portrait of Barak Obama are on view as part of the BHCC Black History Month events and celebrate the diversity of art making within this community.

Hope you can come & see this wonderful exhibit!

Thank you for the difference you are making...
I'm writing you today to share a true story about how a Blue Ribbon Ceremony and the actions of one teacher dramatically changed the life a business man and his 14-year old son.
We welcome you to use this movie in whatever ways will be of greatest service. It is our hope that this movie positively impact as many lives as possible - please "take 5" to watch our newest movie:
